USA Today reports that vinyl record sales are up and Chicago is one of the largest U.S. markets with more than 30 stores selling vinyl.

In fact, the paper reported that the day after Thanksgiving was the second best week for vinyl records since the industry began tracking the data in 1991. 1.5 million more records have been sold thru mid November in comparison to the 6.1 million copies sold in 2013.

It seems that many prefer the sound and others like looking at the covers.
