BMRW Promotions will host saxophonist Tom Braxton and international vocalist Kimmie Horne at An Evening of Smooth Jazz on Friday, November 23 at 7 pm in Holt MI at the Holt High School Margaret Livensparger Theater, 5885 W. Holt Road in Holt.
Tom Braxton Saxophonist and composer understands that his purpose on earth is to create music that touches our hearts. The 2017 West Texas Walk of Fame inductee has his own distinctive and recognizable sound which incorporates elements of Jazz, Latin, Funk, and R&B. For 17 years, Tom toured extensively with Wayman Tisdale as his Musical Director. Braxton is currently touring with Earl Klugh in the U.S., South Africa, Malawi, Mozambique, Ghana, and Japan. He he has also performed with shared the stage with many great artists including Dave Koz, Rick Braun, Peter White, Brian Culbertson, Marcus Miller, Candy Dulfer, Warren Hill, Bob James, Lee Ritenour, Paul Brown, Paul Jackson Jr., George Duke, Kirk Whalum, Jonathan Butler, Jeff Golub, Norman Brown, Sheila E., Aretha Franklin, Luther Vandross, and Phillip Bailey and Keiko Matsui. His music swirls through your soul and leaves listeners filled with a sense of joy.
Kimmie Horne is an internationally renowned vocalist, model and actress. A descendant of legendary songstress and actress Lena Horne and singer/songwriter Cleveland Horne of the Fantastic Four, Kimmie has left her musical mark around the world from Detroit to Tokyo.
