A public event in Boston is scheduled for October 2nd [2015] to find out more about public opinion of Berklee’s Rethink Music initiative and the future of the music industry.
According to a report released by the Berklee Institute for Creative Entrepreneurship (BerkleeICE) today there are flaws in 20% to 50% of music payments to owners. The report includes recommendations for ethical standards, fair compensation for musicians and providing better insight into the entire payment stream for music creators.
