It’s no secret that one of the reasons that BMRW Promotions and An Evening of Smooth Jazz exists is to help keep the jazz art form alive by providing a forum for others to experience some great live music and to provide more opportunities for musicians and vocalists to share their music —especially jazz.
Of course there is always the hope that people in the community recognize the gift of music and will come to support musicians and vocalists doing what they love doing — PLAYING and SINGING MUSIC!
It can happen with your help!
- 496 West band members Andres Dejesus and Reggie Page will perform a song or two withLegendary vocalist Phil Perry at An Evening of Smooth Jazz on Friday, July 25th at 7:30pm.
- Lansing School District High School student Dennis Johnson will open the show with Lansing’s own 496 West.
- Several Holt and Lansing School District students will have an opportunity for a first-hand look at the operations side of putting on a live concert and theater management.
- Lansing School District teacher Zakiya Williams and Cooley Law School student Alexcia Plummer will share their vocal talents.
